The Fully Ducted Platinum Split is WhisperKool’s newest model to the split line-up. Ducting a Split creates a virtually silent cellar environment and allows for maximum installation options. The system uses our liquid bottle probe for monitoring the actual temperature of the wine to make sure the wine is being kept at 55°F. The evaporator portion is also installed up to 25 duct feet from the cellar. WhisperKOOL Platinum Split 8000 Ducted Cooling Unit (P/N Platinum Split 8000 Ducted). WhisperKOOL’s Platinum Split 8000 system cools up to 2000 cubic feet with the compressor located in a remote location (up to 100 line feet away) and the evaporator (cold side) up to 25 ducted feet away from the cellar. The Platinum Split 8000 is equipped with our Platinum Series controller utilizing Advanced System Protection Technology. This features a series of strategically placed monitoring probes, which ensure efficient performance and long cooling unit life. The controller is easy to operate and has features such as adjustable humidity keep watch over, energy saving modes, quick chill mode and anti-frost function. The Platinum Split 8000 can take care of up to 55 degree temperature differential in properly constructed wine cellars up to 2000 cubic feet. Optional outside hood to be had at an additional cost.

Up to 1750 cu. ft. when cellar is fully insulated and sealed with a proper vapor barrier. Heat load calculations will have to be performed prior to selecting a cooling unit.

A qualified HVAC-R technician is required for installation. Failure to have the system installed by a qualified technician will void the warranty. After your HVAC-R technician installs the unit, they’ll wish to submit a Split System Checklist to WhisperKOOL to activate the warranty.
