MATERIALS + CARE INSTRUCTIONS: The canister is made from ceramic and is finished with a glaze that protects it from water. The lid is made from PMS resin (a type of plastic) and the airtight seal is achieved with a silicone ring. We recommend hand washing both components with a dishwashing liquid and a non-abrasive sponge. The ceramic canister, though, is dishwasher safe.
